Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat Tickets are now on sale online

The Royal Players and Floors and More will present Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice at the Royal Theatre in historic Downtown Benton on May 2, 3, 4 and May 9, 10, 11. Friday show times are 7 p.m.; Saturdays 2 and 7 p.m.; Sundays 2 p.m. This production is directed by Justin Pike with music direction by Jo Murry and choreography by Laura Stilwell. Ticket prices are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors, and $5 for students. Tickets are now available at Reservation number is 501-315-5483.

Joseph is a Biblical story about love, family, strife, and the power of forgiveness. Found in the Hebrew Bible’s Book of Genesis, the story of Joseph and his brothers has influenced everything from theatre (the obvious) to country music (Dolly Parton’s 1971 hit ‘Coat of Many Colors’). Pike says this production pays homage to the spirit of the 1960s in which it was created. The Royal Production features Tanner Oglesby in the title role with Erin Murphey Martinez as Narrator. Jeremy Clay is Pharaoh (as well as Levi). Greg Blacklaw doubles as Jacob and Potiphar with Kaede Wilson as Mrs. Potiphar. The ensemble of Jacob’s sons and wives includes Duane Jackson, Tamara Murry Boggs, Beth Ross, David Weatherly, Amber Combs, Michael Bartholmey, Danny Troillett, Rachel Caffey, Michael Pere, Destiny Marchese, Luke McFatrich, Hannah Blacklaw, Austin Gregory, Anneliese Davis, Ryan Lynch, Sharayah Wallace, Ben Mills, Wendy Darr, Matthew Glover, Cassie Lovell, and Alyssa Cooley. The Youth Chorus rounds out the cast: Emily Broach, Bishop Butler, Carson Clay, Zachary Glover, Noah Lee, Matthew McCallister, Isabelle Marchese, Alex Pavilionis, Lisa Pavilionis, Lauri Simmons, Ella Tappe, and MaKaylei Taylor.

For the convenience of our patrons, a volunteer will be at the theater on the following Wednesdays and Fridays from 3-5 p.m. to answer reservation calls: April 16, 18, 23, 25, 30, May 2 and 7. At other times callers leave a message or order online. For each ticket purchased online, the patron gets $1 off a medium or large drink at the concession stand.
